Job Description
Job Title: Weatherization Accountant
Responsible To: Chief Financial Officer
Salary Range: $22.92hour. - $34.45/hour.
This is a non-exempt 52 week/year position unless programmatic needs dictate or require otherwise.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate Degree in Accounting with at least three years accounting experience.
- Strong mathematical, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to use software packages, including accounting and spreadsheet programs.
- Familiarity with operational and financial procedures.
- Ability to organize and carry out tasks with minimum supervision and maintain a coordinated workflow.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and records.
- Valid driver’s license, appropriate automobile insurance, and driving record must be acceptable with agency insurance carrier.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive auditor packets, create a new account in CTI.
- Review, reconcile and process subcontractor invoices and Purchase Orders within deadlines.
- Review, reconcile and process invoices and Purchase Orders for crew materials, inventory, office and building supplies, uniforms, vehicle repairs, etc.
- Communicate with vendors for any issues relating to invoices and Purchase Orders.
- Enter material, supplies and subcontractor invoices into MIP.
- Enter agency and subcontractor material and labor into CTI and HE+.
- Track all labor information to develop and maintain the direct labor rate.
- Reconcile labor and material to closed jobs and general ledger on a monthly basis.
- Reconcile open Purchase Orders weekly.
- Close job files within deadlines.
- Support the Finance Analyst’s monthly work in progress reconciliations.
- Track landlord contributions.
- Maintain program files as they relate to purchase order information and inspection dates.
- Assist in preparation of annual Administrative Review papers.
- Reconcile material inventory monthly.
- Perform the monthly Open Purchase Order Audit and analyze outstanding invoices.
- Manage subcontractor Payment Bond compliance by tracking bond periods, amounts and subcontractor invoices.
- Provide backup to Accountant & Compliance Officer: Emergency Furnace invoice processing.
- Attend training and meetings as needed.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
